The most bloody delicious chocolate milk you can get. The variety and selection is very large; you could probably try a... new one every week and not be done in a few months. Not only that; they have the best chocolate truffles I have ever tasted. The only downside is the price, but I understand it; quality costs.Would go here every day, but I would go broke.read more

Very nice concept of hot chocolate drink available in different flavours. Also the coffee here is very good. We got the... salted caramel dark chocolate and americano coffee and both of them were very good. You can also buy the chocolate to melt and drink at home. So many types of chocolate from dark, spiced or coffee flavoured chocolate to milk or white chocolate with strawberries, caramel toffee! The service was also quite nice:)read more

I mostly use cafes for a change of pace when working on writing on my laptop. I loved the vibe and space of this cafe... when I was visiting Rotterdam for 2 weeks in summer:- perfect ambient temperature- manageable ambient music level- very comfortable and ergonomic furniture (no wobbly tables or uncomfy back-less chairs)- plenty of power supplies and stable wifi- open till 7pm, so you can get a good day's work in even if you visit after lunch- not too crowded (on the days I visited, a summer weekend afternoon)These are enough qualities to earn 5 stars from me. But you might be interested about the drinks too! As far as drinks go, I have had better, but they are high enough quality that I wouldn't dock points for them: I got 2 frozen drinks on 2 days here since it was quite hot: I really enjoyed the mocha praline coldchoc, the hazelnut one was so-so. My wife got a chicken sandwich and while it was on the small side, the taste was excellent.The staff is friendly, polite and attentive to the customers and their requests.read more

This is a nice cafe, with usually pleasant staff. Today however I was served by an older gentleman with glasses who was... quite inflexible. I ordered my drink take-away, and sandwich to eat in as I wanted to enjoy the cafe experience, but don't want to rush through my coffee. This seemed to be a surprising order he has never taken before. So I request everything to go, if it was simpler. After receiving my order, I sat down to eat a little bit of my sandwich before heading off. The guy apparently offended ask me to leave, complaining about paper waste. Having paid for these items, shouldn't I have the right to also enjoy at least some of my meal in the cafe as well? I understand your strong conviction and I wasn't going to finish everything at the cafe. This was really disappointing. I do hope this particular staff receives more training, he can do better. The rest of the staff are awesome, keep it up. 4 Stars!read more

Horrible experience. My first stop in Rotterdam. The oldest person of the staff behave like a machine, without time to... think just to take me to the most expensive chocolate. No asking for the size, just saying the price addressing the payment machine. Maybe because my appearance is of latin woman and alone. I don't recommend at all.read more

Pretty place but i wouldn’t come back. The chai latte was way too spicy and unbalanced. My cappuccino had soap in the... cup. The croissant with cheese was poorly presented and the toasty had little filling. I have enjoyed the quality of the coffee at this location. It is very nice.The reason for this low grading is a rude... conversation with a member of staff, after being a repeated customer. I was told that it is not allowed to ask for to-go-cups, when sitting on the terrace, even if one plans to leave within the next minutes, due to environmental concerns. Fair enough.Quite disconcerting: The staff member also recalled all of the times I have been at the shop, my ordering pattern and the fact that I asked for to-go-cups, while first sitting on the terrace for a while, before running off with my to-go-cup to mind my day.I have no issue with the company's policy. The issue lay with the tone of the discussion: quite loud, patronising, very rude. After I pointed out that I am a repeated customer, that I ask for a to-go-cup for a reason and that I find this conversation discouraging as a customer, I was told, that my reasons are of no interest and it does not matter if I am being lost as a customer, a remark which I found quite sad.If the concern for the environment is genuine, then maybe switching first of all to 100% recyclable to-go-cups may be something worth considering.The policy of the cafe is entirely their matter. But being rude, quite loud with a customer who just payed, giving me advise on my time management and saying it does not matter if you do not return as a customer is not justifiable.read more
